Selected Works: Small Clients, Big Impact
Overview
Each of these projects began with people who care deeply, about their neighbors, their missions, or their craft.
From local nonprofits and churches to authors and small business owners, these collaborations brought warmth and clarity to organizations built on service, creativity, and community spirit.
Working with so many helpers has taught me how to help better.
Each project called for balancing empathy with structure, creating systems, voices, and visuals that reflected both purpose and heart.
Peterborough United Methodist Church
(Role: Marketing & Communications, Annual Report Design)
As the church’s administrative assistant, I directed both communications and operations. I developed brand-aligned materials still in use today, including newsletters, website updates, and this annual report that celebrates a “Small Church, Big Heart.”
Monadnock Area Transitional Shelter (MATS)
(Role: Brand Strategy, Event Promotion, Graphic Design)
As both a designer and board member, I helped MATS celebrate its 25th anniversary with integrity and heart. The invitation, posters, and digital communications honored the organization’s mission to light the way home for those in need.
Hundred Nights Inc.
(Role: Website Design, Communications Support)
This redesign modernized the organization’s online presence, improving clarity, accessibility, and warmth. I helped them evolve from an abandoned site and Facebook page to a welcoming hub that built trust within the community.
Monadnock Writers Group
(Role: Digital Strategy, Social Media Branding)
Supporting a group of skilled, diverse writers meant creating a space that reflected their shared passion while letting each voice shine. I refreshed their website and Facebook presence to better represent their mission and literary events.
M.D. Flyn
(Role: Brand Development, Content Strategy)
Creating an author identity distinct from my other brands required both structure and play. This brand embraces wit and curiosity, supported by thoughtful content planning and consistent visual storytelling across platforms.
More With Less Mom
(Role: Blog Strategy, Visual Design, Social Content)
This long-running blog championed creative frugality and sustainability, and even went viral. From meal plans to Pinterest strategy, it reflected my early blend of design, empathy, and storytelling that continues to inform my work today.
Peterborough Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week
(Role: Campaign Coordination, Design & Social Media)
Coordinating communications among dozens of local partners, this campaign demonstrated how collaboration can amplify compassion. The shared visuals and messaging united civic groups, nonprofits, and volunteers around a common goal: community care.
Reflection
Ten years ago, I waited for direction.
Now, I begin with the big picture, building systems and stories that bring order to purpose.
Every collaboration here reflects growth in both mastery and mission: helping helpers, mentoring creators, and guiding organizations toward clarity and confidence.
